How do you reach Saintes Marie De La Mer?

Trying to put together my dream vacation. Always wanted to visit Saintes Marie De La Mer during the Feast of St. Sara.
Will be traveling through Spain & France on the train.
Looks like there's no train stop in SMDLM.
What is the closest train stop?
How do I get from that train stop to SMDLM? Is there a bus? How long of a journey is the bus ride? Don't want to rent a car.
thanks

I can't help as I don't drive but know that no train stops there and always went by car.I think Arles would be the nearest stop. If I find any information for you, I'll post it

ok, here's what I found. You know it;s around the 25th of May?

It's really easy to get around using public transport. Buses or should I say luxurious motorcoaches are the norm and run even for 3 people! There are two places to catch a bus from in Arles : the main bus station which is located in the centre, on Boulevard de Lices or at the bus station opposite the train station.

We took a trip to St Remy en Provence about an hour away and to Saint Maries de la Mer about the same distance away. Fare for adults is about £5 return ($8). Seniors travel for the unbelievable price of 1Euro ($1) each way!!!!! 65p - that is a bargain. Be sure to ask for a discount - I just said "c'est moins cher pour les gens qui sont plus que soixante ans?"

Hi, gipsy. Here's a website that will give you lots of info on Saintes-Mairies and the festival. The French version includes a bus schedule from Arles to SM. (Click on the bus icon at lower left.) You can get the rest in English if you prefer by clicking on the British flag icon at top right.

I'm sure you will enjoy this area but be prepared for crowds at this time.
