I'm really into scrapbooking! I already have special papers and tons of stickers for all the places we're going in June of 2007. I add in ticket stubs, postcards, some coins, stamps, paper napkins, flyers, and small tags that tell where the photo(s) were taken. In my last scrapbook from our Italy trip I even put in a gelato spoon (you know those little ones that look like small shovels). All of those things along with the pictures bring back all the memories. I take my older (film) camera and my daughter takes our digital one. When I come back I take the film to Sam's Club and have one set of prints made and have the photos loaded onto a CD... doesn't cost that much and if I need extra prints I take them into Sam's Club and use the machine they have there to make copies... I can also slip the CD into my computer and mail copies to friends/relatives out of state.

Just found this post. I'm really new to this having received a small digital camera just prior to my 3 week trip (read: over 1000 photos! =-o )
Can anyone give me a short explanation as to how this all works - how do I get the pictures onto a site, how do I let other people (like you guys!) know they are there, can I attach them to a trip report? I haven't a clue! Are the sites listed above still up and running? Thanks |
Kwren:
There are many out there, I personally use photosite.com, if you go to their website you can see what it is all about and it will give you an explanation of how it works. You download the free software and go from there, it is really easy to use. You can also google "photo sharing" and you'll then have many choice to choose from there. It is really easy. I used to just send an email to my friends and family with the link to my site and they could check it whenever they wanted. Good luck. |
Thanks travelbug - I just needed that first step and will get to it if I ever finish my trip report!

Monica told me about a website for making really excellent posters. She made one of various foods at Italian markets.
