How do you locate someone's address in London

I am hoping to surprise my husband with a trip to London, where he used to live.. Would love to arrange to further surprise him by contacting some of his old friends to meet up for a night out.. I have their names, but that's it. Can any of you Londoners help me out on a website where one can obtain addresses? I realize this is a tough challenge but it would great if i could pull it off!

thanks

Can't give you a specific suggestion. But be aware that many in the UK are "ex-directory" meaning they are not listed in the phone book. Perhaps your best bet might be to contact his old company - since some of his friends might still work there. If he went to college/university there, you might be able to get some info from alumni groups. And if he belonged to any professional associations they might also be a source.

you can try www.192.com - its the electoral register on the internet. No charge, but you may have a limit to how many people you can look up.
Also, www.friendsreunited.co.uk can help by posting your husbands details at the school he attended in order to contact old school pals. Hope it goes well!

Me - just looked up the 192.com site, and I think its changed, you may have to pay £14.95 (approx. $20+ dollars) to use it, but I would check it out anyway - worth it to contact all those old pals I would say!

go to www.bt.com and click on directory enquiries. You can register for free for up to 200 searches, but be warned, you won't find them if they've opted to be ex-directory, which many people do, and they'd better have unusual names, in a city of 10 million people...
