How do you get from CDG to 7th Ard?

Okay I know this topic has been hashed over a million times and I normally would research this on my own but I don't have time. I am arriving at CDG on Friday at 11:10am, should I take the offer from the Hotel Verneuil for 70 euro to pick me up or should I take a taxi, train, etc. Help!! I have been to Paris twice before but with school groups never alone.

Thanks.

A taxi should cost you about 50 euro.

70 Euro! whew. If you grab your own taxi, it should only cost you 40-ish Euro.
Alternately, you could reserve the Parishuttle to pick you up for 25 Euro.

Yeah, 50 for a taxi is more conservative. There will be a 1-2E per bag charge as well, then there's the tip.

I have no clue but is this a train that goes from CDG?

Are you asking if there is a train to the 7th? If so, yes. You would take the RER B to central Paris and then change trains. Exactly where to change and which train to change to would depend on exactly where in the 7th you're going. With a nearest metro stop, or address, I'm sure someone could give more specific instructions.

This would certainly be the cheapest option, but is only practical if you are travelling very lightly.

Parishuttle is a mini-van that will pick you up at the airport (you call them from the airport to say you've arrived) and takes you directly to your hotel/apt. They may or may not have others on the same trip (which would only make the trip a bit longer - no big deal). I used them and it was perfect. I did not want to attempt the train with my luggage (I was staying a month). It may be too late to arrange this via e-mail but you could put "parishuttle" in Google or the like and find a phone number - I booked it ahead of time so don't know how versatile they are if you just call from the airport. You'd be looking at approx $50 round trip low end versus $140 round trip at the high end. One thing I will say is to be sure to confirm a couple of days ahead for your return trip. They had booked my return too close to departure and I didn't notice and they were annoyed when I said that while confirming a day ahead.

A taxi was 50 euro for us including luggage

The closest Metro to the Verneuil is St Germain, then there is about a 4 block walk. Verneuil sits right on the border of the 6th & 7th. Depending on the day and time I've had a taxi run from 40-50 E, but it certainly is the easiest.

Hi jv,

The most cost beneficial method is to have a shuttle van pick you up.

Both www.parishuttle.com and www.beeshuttle.com will charge you about 18E.

In May, we took the Roissybus for 8 euro which dropped us off in the Opera area. We then walked kitty-corner across the street and took the Metro to the 7th (Ecole Militaire).

Didn't worry about the cost of a taxi if caught in traffic (when does the Tour de France end?). We also travel with carry-ons only so we can be more flexible in moving around.
