I sold 42 pair of Jimmy Choo heels, mooch off my rich boytoy, avoid food and go for the liquid diet and in my spare time sell Prozac to other jetsetters in my group. Try it, it's fun.

I get paid to make sure my client's products are represented on the internet. I get a nickle each time Tevas and Easy Spirits are mentioned on this board. I also get a penny for everytime any type of jeanswear, capri pants, or shorts are mentioned here as well. Needless to say, I'm rolling in dough.

This is to Elvira and also to the man who flammed me when I said my income does not presently allow travel:

First, I want to apologize for sounding snippy. That was wrong.

However, who said I haven't traveled? I have been to Europe four times in my life: once as a child with my parent, twice during college, and once in my twenties. That might not sound like much to you, but I loved my trips and treasure the memories. I plan to go back when I can afford it. I have been divorced for five years and have been teaching 3rd grade for three years. My job brings me great joy and it IS my life, besides my own children, who also bring me untold happiness every day. Though my income may not like seem like much to you, I live in a rural area and have no debt, not even a mortgage. However, with my two grade school aged children, I need to limit my trips to local family trips for now.

I stand by my words that many people here are travel snobs who look down on others who do not travel as much as they do. I have observed this by reading this forum and noting the condensending remarks made about those who do not travel, for example, those who do not know their way around Paris, those who are unfamiliar with big city transportation systems and those who don't dress themselves as Europeans do.

I am very happy with my life! However, I do love what I have seen of Europe so though I like reading this forum when I get a chance, I suppose my jealousy gets the best of me at times. Perhaps you are right that this forum is not the place for me.

Ahhh, the Golden Days (before registration). Remember when everyone could be a comedian (anonymously). Sure there were rough spots, but this post has good info AND humor. Sure, sure, we have humor now, but in much smaller quantities (in my humble opinion). But now, at least no one's poor feelings get hurt ;)

Bitter, this bit of travel humor is for you:

As a Delta Air Lines jet was flying over Arizona on a clear day, the co-pilot was providing his passengers with a running commentary about landmarks over the PA system.

"Coming up on the right, you can see the Meteor Crater, which is a major tourist attraction in northern Arizona. It was formed when a lump of nickel and iron, roughly 150 feet in diameter and weighing 300,000 tons, struck the earth at about 40,000 miles an hour, scattering white-hot debris for miles in every direction. The hole measures nearly a mile across and is 570 feet deep."

From the cabin, a passenger was heard to exclaim, "Wow! It just missed the highway!"
