I will be going to Madrid in July, What is the best way to get to the Westin Palace Hotel from the airport?

Here's a novel thought,try contacting the hotel and ask them!

Great idea but was looking for someone that has made this trek and knew the best and easy way.

There's a bus that goes right to the center of town from the airport. Don't know the Westin, but a cab should be reasonable from there. Ask anyone at the airport for the bus stand.

Mike, <BR>You could take the yellow airport-Plaza Colon bus, which will take you to Plaza Colon on the Castellana (a trip of about 15-20 min) then taxi down the Castellana from there (another 10), or just take a cab directly to the Westin Palace-should take no more than 1/2 hr, probably less, and cost about 3,000pts. The official taxis are white with a red diagonal stripe on the front door. Be aware that the fare will be more than what the meters reads, as there's an additional charge for the airport run and for each bag stored in the trunk (also supplements on Sun, after 11 p.m., etc). <BR>I'd just take a taxi. I do this run to downtown Madrid frequently.

The best bet is the Aerocity shuttle. More likely than not, it will take the same time as a cab and cost a lot less. There is no supplement for bags, either. One person 2000 pesetas, two cost 2200. It gets even cheaper per person with more people in your party.

Oops, I forgot about the shuttle. If you don't mind possibly a stop or two (?)to drop off other passengers along the way, the price is right, or maybe you'll get lucky and have the van to yourself and go straight to the Palace. You can email them on their web page: <BR>www.aerocity.com
