There are four firms doing similar sightseeing trips:
www.bateaux-mouches.fr;
www.bateauxparisiens.com;
www.vedettesdupontneuf.com;
www.vedettesdeparis.com.
Each has trips every half hour and the biggest boats carry 1000 passengers, so you do not need to book - just go down to the river, buy a ticket and get on a boat.
There is also Batobus which offers a hop-on, hop-off service along the same stretch of the Seine.
