How can I get bumped to first class on Aer Lingus or what are my chances?)
Thanks!

Unlikely you will get bumped randomly. If you give them a couple thousand dollars they will do it. Overseas 1st class is very expensive. If they have a standby plan, you would have a very small chance of getting a first class seat, but most airlines offer those to their standby executives or staff and their family. The risk is that you wouldn't get on the flight at all. Right now, AL is offering pretty big price cuts, so clearly the planes aren't full.

I'm sure everyone else on the flight would like to get bumped to 1st class also.

Now, you could always marry an Aer Lingus executive.....

Bill

Bill,

I was cracking up at your last line. :o)) I'm leaving on BMI in 5 weeks. Think I have time to find an exec to marry by then? lol

I'll definitely let the desk know I'd love to bump up to 1st... but I'm not holding my breath. Flying Air Barcalounger would be great.

~ Sheryl

Well, I have heard that women out number men in Ireland so you'll have to offer something special. Do you by any chance have a substantial dowry?

Bill

I guess I'm out of luck then. I'm going to Edinburgh. And without a dowry.

Guess I better pack a parachute. Looks like they're putting this old broad out on the wing. :o))

~ Sheryl

well, a 63 red corvette may substitute for a dowry
