How can I book my ferry from Santorini to Mykonos online??
 

Hi All - Can you point me to a website where I can book my ferry from Santorini to Mykonos online?? I found www.ferries.gr - is that it??

If so, I noticed there are 2 companies which offer ferries to Mykonos and there are only economy seats on each. The 2 companies are Seajet and SkyExpress - although I don't think SkyExpress has any availability left on the date I need to travel. What is the difference between these companies? Are they both high speed ferries? Any advice would be appreciated...Thanks!

The only _CONFIRMED_ direct ferry between Santorini and Mykonos is from the company above. The schedules for the IJ SuperJet have yet to be given "official" status.

The biggest difference is that SkyExpress is an airline, not a ferry company...........:D

Quick question though, when I try to book online through Hellenic Seaways, it gives me a message saying: "No departures for this specific itinerary. Please select another itinerary or change your date of departure" - Does this mean the ferry is sold out on my date of travel or are the ferry schedules not finalized yet??

I've tried from Santorini to Mykonos, and also from Heraklion to Santorini and I get the same message every time...

It may just be that the full schedules for September have not yet been completed. It could also just mean that the website's booking function isn't working properly. I don't know for sure.

What I do know is that the FC4's schedule has been out for about a month now and you can check it here: http://www.ferries.gr/hfd/

You might try that booking function instead of the one on the HS website to see what it tells you about your travel date.

But be assured that if the FC4 isn't available on your travel date you can still get from Santorini to Mykonos by taking a different ferry to either Naxos or Paros and then another one the rest of the way to Mykonos.

And by the way, advance purchase isn't necessary in September.

I am actually going in June...I had posted about switching to September because my ideal hotels aren't available in June, but I think I am going to make it work in June anyway (I hope!) Are the ferry schedules available for June?? Those are the dates I was searching for on Hellenic Seaways...

Yes, they're available for June. I don't know why you're having trouble. Did you try the other website I gave you? You can see the schedule there. You can also try www.gtp.gr.
