How are these hotels in Italy?

Any comments on Hotel Universo in Rome, Principe in Venice and Adriatico in Florence. Thinking about booking them.

JC,

I stayed at the Principe in Venice. The hotel is a good 20 minute walk to the San Marco area - it is near the train station and near waterbus #1. The hotel was clean amd the restaurant was on the Grand Canal. However, if I was returning to Venice I would stay at a hotel located closer to San Marco.

I don't have any information on the other hotels.

For Venice, take a look at the website for Palazzo San Angelo www.santangelo.hotelinvenice.com.
See if you can get in on any of their introductory prices. Great hotel, great location.
