houseboating in Ireland

My husband and I would like to rent a houseboat in Ireland for a week or two.

Any Ireland houseboat experiences or advice to share?

Hello Avi, my husband & I are currently living in Kilkenny Ireland, located in the South. What time of year are you looking to vacation? I would recommend the Southern/Western part of Ireland, Waterford, Cork, the Dingle Peninsula was breath taking! I could help look into Houseboating, I don't know of anywhere that offers the activity. In reading my books, Connemara seems to have "boathouses" and several surrounding lakes. I have yet to travel there, but it is our next weekend trip! Let me know if you would like any other information!
Avi,
We did two weeks on the canals of England a few years ago and it was one of the best trips we have ever done. The company we used also has boats in Ireland. If you want more ino e mail me directly. We were in Ireland in September and saw some canals and they made us want to go again.
