Hotle Brouwer-Reservation policy question

Does anyone know any 'secrets' about reserving at this hotel? I am really set on hotel brouwer, as it by far came out on top after my extensive research. I was told 7 months before my expected travel in June that they are fully booked. I read on tripadvisor that some people are told this hotel is fully booked, but then get accepted after several attempts. This might happen because of a cancellation, but I also wonder if Brouwer books by referral-do I need to know someone who was a past guest? Or perhaps they are used by small tour companies. Can anyone shed light on this who has stayed here before? Jean

It's a small very popular hotel, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is fully booked months out. They only have 8 rooms.

I booked my room in May 2008 for a stay the end of August 2008. Try again, and use my name if you want.
Tell them a past guest, Valerie Rowe recommended them. They don't take credit cards or deposits, but they are good. Pleasant people and good location. Although, you do have to close your windows at night because there is a lady in the window 2 doors down (mini red light). But it's not bad and rooms with your own bath, elevator and breakfast is great.

Thanks for your help! Appreciate the offer of a personal recommendation too. I emailed WH a couple of times and apparently he really is booked. When I asked if he had any of my 10 days available, he said he did have 3 of the days if I wanted to stay there part of the time. I wound up with what I hope is a very nice double at the Hotel Adolesce. Not much is said here about it, but tripadvisor reviews are all very good, and pix look nice, plus they have a breakfast bar that is open 24 hrs. Nice for nitetime snacks/tea after a long day of touring. Happy trails!

We booked a room at the Hotel Brouwer for May 2009 last month. All by e-mail. Very quick nice responses to my requests. Maybe we will meet there

John- We will be there in the early part of June. Hope you have a great time. You definitely got the best lodging for the price!
