Hotels that include free breakfast

We want a hotel between the 1st and 8th Arr., nothing fancy, just clean room with shower. Between 60-80 EU. Your recommendations are appreciated!

I used discountcityhotels.com and found a lovely hotel in London, including breakfast, at a good price. Not sure if the site offers hotels in other countries though. Maybe worth a try.

There's no such thing as free lunch (heard that before?) Basically you pay for it one way or the other, either as an extra or included in the room price. In France most rates don't include breakfast. But for 10 euro or more they charge for breakfast, you'll almost always be better off going to a cafe for coffee and fresh croissants.

I agree with Alec, when it comes to Paris. Here's one site to look at for some hotels:

http://www.1stparishotels.com/

Others will undoubtedly offer more ideas.

Hi dannae,
I agree. Hotel breakfast is expensive. Better to look for a hotel that has a cafe or two in the vicinity.

After you have found a likely place, you can go to http://www.voila.fr/PJ/
and insert 'cafe' or 'patisserie' or 'boulangerie' on the "Activite'" line and the street name at "adresse". Be sure to include 'Paris' on the "Localite'" line.

Hotel Prince Albert on Rue Ste. Hyacinthe. 99euro a night for two twin beds includes breakfast. Rooms are typically small but clean. SUPER location. 2star hotel. Okay for 4/5days

Forgot to mention it is in the 1st. Arr. Belongs to Abotel chain

There are some small hotel chains that are not as expensive, well run and have good buffet breakfast.

Try Novotel, or the less expensive Ibis chain. They are modern, rooms are larger, more American style.
