Hotels - Rome
 

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Scalinata or Hotel Abergo del Senate in Rome? I have heard good things about both and I just do not know which one to choose. I would love some feedback.

Assuming you mean Albergo del Senato, do a search here and you will see many rave reviews.

Also read the numerous reviews on tripadvisor.

There are many good reviews on the Albergo del Senato. We stayed for five nights in July 2007 and loved the hotel. My husband, son (13) and I stayed in room 210.

For our first trip to Rome, we loved the location. We walked almost everywhere.

I loved walking outside early in the morning to stand in the piazza. No traffic and a quiet view of the Pantheon before the tourists arrive.

The staff spoke English (if that matters) and was very helpful.
