We researched four and have reservations at the Hotel Lenox in the 6th. It seemed like the most charming for our money and the most centrally located. Good luck
Sorry about that Maira :)
That site is a bit *klunky*, but it lists a wide range of good hotels with pictures and a map of the area near each hotel [usually]. I also like that there is a certain consistency to the entries which makes comparisons easier to make.

If you're looking for budget prices, here's a few options that I found in the 6th. I compiled a list of hotel options for my trip next month (searched thru several guidebooks & then looked them up on-line). I've now decided to stay at a place in the 7th, but these may be of interest to you in your search.

6th arrondissemont hotels

Grand hotel des Balcons (two stars)
3, Rue Casimir Delavigne 75006 Paris
Tel. 33.1.46.34.78.50 (prices approx 570 F for twin doubles)
Fax. 33.1.46.34.06.27
Breakfast – 55F (and is very substantial !!! good value)
Metro – Odeon; Credit Cards: CB/Visa, AMEX, EC/MC, DC
Rooms: 55

Hotel le Clement (two stars)
6 rue Clement 75006 Paris
Tel. 01-43-26-53-60 (prices approx. 600 F for twin doubles)
Fax: 01-44-07-06-83
Breakfast – 60 F
Metro – Mabillon; Credit Cards: AMEX, Diners, Visa, Eurocard

Hotel Delavigne (two stars)
1 rue Casimir Delavigne
Tel. 01-43-29-31-50 (prices approx. 600 F for twin doubles)
Fax: 01-43-29-78-56
Breakfast – 50 F
Metro – Odeon; Credit Cards: CB/Visa, AMEX, EC/MC, DC
Rooms: 34
