Hotels on st george beach naxos
Dear all,
I am planning a trip to Naxos next year June-July. We have never been to Greece, but i have spent significant amount of time to research our distination. I also analised Naxos and decided that for St George beach near Chora is the best location as we love beach , food, history and authenticity.
Could you please assist me with accomodation.
Facts:
1 Family of 3.
2 Room with 2 bedrooms
3 Middle range or budget
4 waterview
5 Reasonably close to beach ac I recalled someone stated it could be dusty away from beach
Pool, kitchen, breakfast are not important.
Thank you.

We stayed at Studios Naxos in St. George Beach, just a few meters from the beach. Nice studio with separate kitchen, TWO bathrooms, nice sized bedrooms with French Doors opening to good size balcony with great views of beach, ocean, coastline. It didn't have 2 bedrooms but I believe they do have them available.
The owner spoke good English, picked us up and dropped us off at the port and the studios are very budget-friendly.
I'm sure there are many more options available but we were more than happy with Studios Naxos.

I went as a solo traveler so I didn't have a studio for a family. I think they'll have something for a family but you'll need to check with them.
Regardless it was a very good budget accommodation, clean, safe, central location and great hosts!

Studios Naxos has only 1 apt for 3 persons.. and not a "lvingroom" ... top floor unit has a BR w 2 twin beds separated by doorway + small balcony ... has 2 bathrooms (1 commode/basin +1 shower/basin) and inland room has table, kitchenette corner & niche w 1 bed. Terrif budget accom for 3 friends ... you need more space.... and if you're looking ahead 12 months, you will have amazing choices.
It would be thoughtful to be more specific in your budget, in EUROS (because responders come from many countries, don't make them do the conversion ofr you) ... instead, say "budget range between €__ and ___ ." Keep in mind that July is high season, will be at least €10-20 more per night than June.
Also, "family of 3" doesn't always describe your needs, & whether 2 br are necessary -- sometimes what is called 1-BR studio unit is useful, and these are plentiful in St. George (Ag giorgios) Beach location. This has 1 BR with either twin beds or double bed, plus main room that has 1-2 daybeds that serve as couch seatng during day... has table/chairs and kitchenette ell or niche, plus balcony w. seating for 3 or so. This unit would work well for a couple with a teenager (who would stay up later, and use the daybed), but less well if #3 is a 5 year old, or a grandmother. So key details matter.
YOu can't find availabilty for NEXT june by looking at today's picture because so much is fully-booked. However, if you look EARLY in 2018, you'll have a wealth of mod-priced options, right on the beach or a few yards away. Some are apartments w 2 BR & mainroom & balcony. A v. nice choice (and in demand) Villa Naxia. on far end of beach, just back from sand about 50 yards, nice landscaping. Others right on sands with that "1BR studio unit" type include Studios Kalergis, Studios Thomais, Sun BEach, Lefkas Studios, Studios Diogenis, Apts Galazia, Apts Naxos Dream Studios. Others with 50-75 meters of sands includ Hotel Akrogiali, Hotel Kymata, Hotel Elizabeth Note: in these, balconies, views vary according to floor, top floor (#3 in US terms) best. I always advise looking at location thru booking.com -- which has google map showing exact location. As everywhere, less-desirably located places will always "fudge" saying Near Beach when actually not. Actually you could do this NOW with 2017 booking.com... because their map will show many hotel locations even tho they are little RED balloons, indicating no rooms left.

We stayed in that top floor unit at Studios Naxos. It is really a 2 room unit with a separate bedroom with little balcony. The second room is the kitchenette with a couch that converts into a bed.
Not mentioned yet is Hotel Spiros. Unfortunately not on the beach but has upper floor rooms with sea view. I believe they have some two room units as well.
Here are some images of St George beach hotels. Most of the hotels already mentioned are in the album.

Thank you so much guys. I have done quite a research so far including positioning on the google maps. It is a good idea.
Facts:
1 Budget up to 150 euro
2 3 people require 2 separate rooms and 3 different beds. This is the must due to snoring
I have shortlisted the hotels i thought suitable down to 23 and wrote to all of them but unfortunately only 1/3 has replied.
I am considering Studios Naxos which in my understanding has 1 queen bed in 1 bedroom and a sofa convertible to 2 single beds. Reading you all makes me think that my perception was not correct.
The second accomodation I consider is Korali which has according to the owner advice 2 bedrooms. One bedroom with queen bed and another with 2 singles. It appears that this top floor apartment has a very nice terrace. But looking at the photos I am not sure about the view.
Could you be so kind to comment?
Thanks again.

I also have some more questions :
1Does hotel elizabeth have views in their 2 bedroom apartment?
2 What is your opinion on Kymata top floor suite?
3The reviews on Glaros are very contradictory in regards value for money. What do you think?
4 A1 Sofia has 2 bedroom apartment with very limited view and close to the beach but reviews do not appear to be great
5 Spiros. I could not find any info on their views. Please recommend
6 How expensive is Naxia? As it was all booked I could not find even app cost
7 What do you think about Sun Beach Hotel 2 bedroom family suite?
Thank you again.

Do NOT expect answers from these very very busy hotels, family-run, short staff, they are coping right now with people for SUmmer 2017. They don't have big staffs to answer e-mails about bookings that are a whole 12-13 months ahead. Cool your jets and write them in September, regarding their exact accommodations. Don't wait until December - they'll be taking their time off then.
PRICES - I don't know if these small places will have figured out excat 2018 prices, yet, so don't fret if these are vague. Anyway, if you say u are coming June-July, your budget gets fuzzy. Which is it? As I said July is HIGH season, more costly. A 2-bedroom PLUS living room (apt) with a beach view would be more than €150 in July... I think at that price limit you'd have more chance at the 1 BR+main room w. daybed(s). I DID say that some of these have twin beds in the BR. You have to ask.
The Studio Naxos arrangement you mention is not in the top floor front apt. The floor below that has in its front (balcony) room, a sofabed I think. the BR, which has the entry door, has a double bed. The First floor (US style) has an ?apt? that may have a queen bed, but no balcony, as I recall.
KYMATA - I've heard the top floor has a lot of room, and have read good reviews about it, and it's certainly a good location ... just as close to the sand as Studios Naxos. ELIZABETH - No idea about views, you would have to do the work yourself, write them & ask SUN BEACH is a bargain... in demand by lots of families. Not direct view of beach from all apts, but very close to it. . NAXIA - it is more expensive than these 2... why don't you write them direct and ASK? Remember u have to specify June or July.

Thank you so much.
I will write to them again in September.
As I DID say that I have written to all of them directly.
The owner of Studio s Naxos said that top floor apartment has a double bed in one room and sofa bed which becomes 2 singles in the second room with kitchenette.
Elizabeth does not have or provide their email.

http://www.hotel-elizabeth.com/index-en.htm - WEbsite ... click on the word "CONTACT" and up comes a detailed form to fill out with (important) a box marked "NOTE" in which to write a message or detailed question. When you click "submit" you get a response something like: your message has been sent to Hotel Elizabeth.
Here are reviws from Trip advisor. would only book if could get the large top apartment, from what I read.https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...th_Aegean.html
