Hotels near/on Ring Road
Hello there.
I have read some information on hotels in an area called Ring Road?? The prices are great - is it because the location is not? Trying to find a hotel in Rome is insane - so expensive. Need any help I can get. Thanks, Jennifer |
Hi Jennifer,
You need to say what your budget is so folks can make suggestions that would suit you. Also your heading does not say you're looking for hotels in Rome. When I saw Ring Road I automatically thought of Vienna. Perhaps you want to re-post and use a clearer title or at least tell us how much money you want to spend and where you want to be located in Rome. There have been recent posts on budget hotels in Rome. You might want to do a search as well. |
Forgot to say that I have no idea where Ring Road is in Rome so I couldn't answer your question.

Rome is quite spread out. Don;t know where ring road is - but you could be 45 minutes from downtown.
Agree - you should repost saying Rome (many european cities have ring roads) and give you budget, time and # of people. |
The road is the GRA -- and you don't want to be staying near it, by and large. As suggested by the name, it is on the very periphery of a very large spread out city.
Do google searches for bed and breakfasts in Rome. The prices are good, the accommodations usually have private bathrooms, and they are more often than not owned and operated by families who are highly motivated to have happy guests. There are many in glorious locations in the heart of Roma. |
GRA is Grande Raccordo Anulare

If you are traveling alone or with women only...look into staying in a convent in Rome. There a are a few well located and they are quite inexpensive. I'm sorry but I only know they exist, I don't know the names of any to recommend.
