Denis good morning! <BR>I am not sure that a lot of people will come up with hotel recommendations near CDG airport. Most people stay in Paris town. <BR>Try to find something with the official Paris site: <BR>www.paris-touristoffice.com <BR>Go to "organzing your stay". Then "accommodation". Then "tourist hotels". Under "area" type in "Roissy/Charles de Gaulle". <BR> <BR>Some 12 hotels will be shown. Most of them with own websites where you will find out about prices, etc. <BR> <BR>Hope this helps.

I recommend the Manoir de Gressy, a 10 minute ride from the airport. A charming, pretty inn in a small town. They have a free shuttle to pick you up and drop you at CDG. It may be slightly more than your price range.

You can check my webpage on my Paris trip. I had a long list of links, including some about lodging at CDG. <BR>www.travelswithdiane.homestead.com/france4.html

Assuming this is your last night in Paris, you might want to go out not with a whimper but rather a bang and stay at the Château de Montvillargenne, in the Chantilly Forest, 20 minutes from the airport. My year 2000 "Châteaux Demeures de Tradition ett Grandes Etapes des Vignobles" brochure says prices run 645-1095F per night, but you can probably find up-to-date information at http://www.hotelcity.com/france/montvillar.htm

Stayed at the Hotel Ibis a couple of years ago. It's not fancy, but should be within your price range. We stayed there because our flight left EARLY the next morning. However, we had a nice dinner that evening at the Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, etc. Can't remember, but I think it was the Marriott.

If your flight is early, did you know there are rooms right at the airport. They are small and rent by the hour, but you can rent for the night. I'm not a roughing it kinda gal, and I was surprised by how hotel like it is with shower, bed, wake up call, hygiene kit. If don't need to be at the airport before say 7:00 why not just stay in central Paris? A cab can get you to the airport in under an hour and you get one more dinner, walk, drink in a great city.

If I have an early flight home, I generally stay at the Ibis AT the CDG. There is another one in the town of Roissy, so make certain you are in the airport area when you make your reservation. <BR> <BR>Ibis is nothing special but, by the end of a lengthy trip, I generally want a quiet night and that is it. It is very similar to an American motel. The breakfast is, by the way, overpriced and not very good. Have a snack at the airport before your flight and forget about the Ibis breakfast. <BR> <BR>Staying at the airport always reduces worrying about traffic, packing, missing the flight, etc. You are right there.
