Hotels in Venice and Milan

I have a business associate that has asked me to help plan his trip to Italy.

I have Rome and Tuscany down but really could use some help for Milan and Venice with respect to hotels.

Can anyone suggest a moderately priced hotel in each city with air conditioning?

Thanks

And...yes I also know "google is a wonderful thing" but I was looking for some personal picks.

Hello TXEER, in that everyone has a different opinion of "moderate" if you posts the amount your business associate is able to spend per night for hotel rooms I believe that will help you get the information you are looking for.

Thanks...I think that $125 to $150 per night would be about right.

You may be surprosed to learn that $125-150 is not "moderate" in Venice . . . it's "inexpensive." The prices also depend on the season, too.

Try Locanda Orseolo.

He might meet this price at La Forcola hotel in Venice. It has A/C, although I've never tested it, as I was there in winter. It's a nice 3* hotel.

Is your business associate friend aware of possible issues with small rooms and quirky bathrooms? That's almost a given in that price range. He might be aware, but I didn't want you to end up blamed if he wasn't happy with his rooms :) .
