Yes, I am pretty sure somebody has.

My husband and I stayed at Casa Rezzonico in Sept '05. We loved it and would definitely stay there again. Get a canal facing room if you can. Their courtyard was a great place to relax with some wine and snacks at the end of the day.

I'm not familiar with the other hotels, so I can't help you there!

Thanks Shehartfield, I am readings many posts about this place..Do you know if there were a grocery store nearby to buy the basics, wine, water and especially snacks, I am traveling with a teenager..:)

We stayed at the Hotel Centauro in January - it was good - excellent location halfway between Rialto Bridge and San Marco. Nice venetian style rooms, clean, good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.

Yes, there was a grocery store - pretty good sized, not far from the hotel. The hotel staff can give you directions, but I can't remember exactly where it was. We picked up wine, bread, meats & cheeses there. One note though - bring your own grocery bag because they don't supply them at the store!

My daughter has stayed at the Casa Rezzonico, and I've visited it. It seems like a very nice little hotel, with a friendly front desk attendant and a pretty little courtyard. I believe I saw some little markets in the square nearby it.

Ca' Zose, while charming, has teeny tiny showers, a lot of rickety stairs (if you're on the top floor), and a sub-standard breakfast. However, the owners- two elderly sisters - are very pleasant - one more staid and appropriate, the other a real hotsy-totsy who seems to be itching to get out and DANCE! The location is quiet and, while convenient to Santa Maria della Salute and the Guggenheim, is quite a distance to the nearest decent restaurant. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Hi kismetchimera,

I thought this Fodors thread would be helpful for you in deciding on a Venice hotel:
