Hotels in Venic & Rome
 

Has anyone heard of the Bellini Hotel in Venice? Any feedback on it? Also, the Oxford Hotel in Rome? Appreciate any help.<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR><BR>Audrey

Can't help you on those hotels, but we stayed at the Hotel Italia in Rome and had a good experience.

Goodmorning, Audrey Have not stayed at<BR>either however here is what information<BR>I have and their locations.<BR>The BELLINI, Lista di Spagna, `116 is<BR>a four star hotel with 67 rooms on the<BR>bank of the Grand Canal,The Lista starts<BR>just left of the Venice SL RR Station<BR>and runs to the Church of St. Geremia<BR>and its Campo about one full block.<BR>It is about 10 mins walk up the Lista<BR>to the Ponte Rialto. Vaporetto stops<BR>are in from of the station. There are<BR>many shops and ristorantes in this <BR>area and up to the Ponte Rialto.<BR>The OXFORD is a three star with 58 rooms<BR>it is located on the via Boncompagni<BR>that runs NE from the Via Veneto for <BR>a distance of about four blocks.<BR>Again many shops and ristorantes in this<BR>area. WE stayed at the Oxford seven years ago. I liked the location near the Via Vento and the American Embassy. We liked to walk and walked even to the Victor Emanuel monument and further. The hotel is clean, the room was moderate size, newer bathroom, and a good breakfast. I still have fond memories of the doughnuts. You can also catch a bus a block away and to go to the Vatican the bus is about a five minute walk.
