Hotels in Rome for under 160 Euros?
Could anyone suggest a hotel in Rome for between 100-160 Euros a night. Thank you!
|
single? double? triple?
|
time of the year? area preference? parking needed?
|
En suite bath or down the hall? Elevator or steps OK? With or without included breakfast?

I need a double room for a week in mid-July. No parking needed, near any of the trains. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks again.

Oops, I forgot to add, private bathroom and air-conditioning, thanks again.

Hotel Corot near Termini Station. They might have good prices, but it depends on the time of the year you go there. www.hotelcorot.it

Hotel del Corso-115 euro triple rate (that's what we needed)-double must be less!

The hotel Gary recommended is great. I've stayed there twice in the past couple of months. I'd recommend phoning or faxing them; Alberto will hook you up. This hotel is very close to the Spagna Metro stop, about 2 blocks away. It's air-conditioned, no elevator but they will carry your luggage both when you arrive and depart, breakfast is included, prices are good, service friendly.

I have a reservation for a triple room for 155 euro per night in early June at the Hotel Parlamento, between Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. I've never stayed here before, but it has been highly recommended, and meets your requirements (except maybe not close to trains). Their website is www.hotelparlamento.it, and they have been very responsive to email.

I stayed at Hotel Genio for about $150/double room (this is Nov rate, though) and had no need to use trains to visit the main historical sites in Old Rome and The Vatican. The hotel is two blocks from Piazza Navonna.

I'm amazed there has been no recommendation yet for Pantheon View (see www.romeby.com/pantheonview). This has made my short list for future visits to Rome but I haven't stayed there yet. It seems to gather lots of rave reviews. The location couldn't be better, and it does look great.

Hi
We stayed near the Vatican at the Hotel Olympia and it was a very reasonable place. great location, breakfast was included, and we could walk to most everything plus a large bedroom and a large bathroom! Enjoy your trip!! |
HOtel Venezia, not far from Termini. Lovely furnishings, friendly staff.

We were quite pleased with Hotel Spring House. The place is modern, sparkling clean and air conditioned, very friendly and helpful staff, close to the Vatican and convenient to public transport.
