Hotels in Rome at Christmas
Hello,
We found some package deals (flight + hotel)for Rome at Christmas. Problem is, this is a spur of the moment decision to take this trip so I haven't had a chance to do any research on Rome. My question is what area should we stay in that is walking distance to a lot of attractions, restaurants and transportation? Here are some of the hotels we are considering although there are a lot more we can choose from (didn?t think I should list them all). Any thoughts on these? Hotel Torino Hotel Daniela Forty Seven - A Summit Hotel Grand Hotel Olympic- Aurum Hotel Bolivar Hotel Donatello Borromeo Hotel Hotel Ara Pacis Appreciate any help. Terri |

Generally, frequent visitors to Rome recomend staying in the Piazza Navona/Pantheon/Campo de Fiori area. It has many restaurants in all price ranges, there are people in the streets until late at night, and it is within walking distance of almost anything you might want to see in Rome.
Unfortunately, I have no idea which of the hotels you mention are in that area. You might be able to find the locations of the hotels at www.tripadvisor.com or www.venere.com. |
Tripadvisor.com looks like a very informative site. Thanks! I got that the Piazza Navona & The Pantheon area is a good to stay in. Does this sound correct? Any other suggestions?

Thank you Eloise. That is exactly the information I was looking for to get me started.
