Hotels in Rome
My fiancee and I are visiting Rome for the first time May 20-24 and are looking for suggestions on hotels. We will likely stay in Rome the entire time so something centrally located would be great. As far as price goes, anything mid-range would be fine.
Any suggestions? Thanks |

My daughter and I will be staying here in June and I can't wait - check them out on TripAdvisor - all glowing reports - we are paying 160E per night, a little bit higher than I would like, but it is Rome and that location cannot be beat - it is so central you can walk everywhere -it is between the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, best location, IMHO. Good luck, Leslie |
Would you consider a lovely b&b? try Arco del Lauro
in a great location, TRASTEVERE. It might be around the same price, but you can check. |
We stayed in Arco del Lauro in October, and we really loved it. My review is on TripAdvisor.

One of the best small Inn's I have found is the Teatro di Pompeo near Campo di Fiori. Located in the historic center, this three star hotel is a great base to tour Rome. Hopefully you can get a reservation. Also nearby and soon to Open it the Hotel Campo di Fiori. It should be open by the end of April. Also a three star.

Hi
My wife and I stayed near Termini when we went there a couple of years back. I have posted a review of the hotel that we used in my trip report with pictures on my homepage http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy.htm . Maybe you can find some useful info there :d I have also made this interactive Google map http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy_map.htm . The yellow marker indicates where the hotel is located and you can click on the markers for more information. Get in touch if you have any questions or comments :-) Regards Gard http://gardkarlsen.com - trip reports and pictures |
It has been a while but we enjoyed the Hotel Rex, just across the via and down a bit from the Opera House. Good location, very nice rooms and excellent included breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Lancelot last March and would highly recommend it. We paid 185E per night for a triple room. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast buffet, on a quiet street close to a metro station and bus stops, very near the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Forum. (It is also rated something like #17 out of 1000 hotels in Rome on TripAdvisor.)

We stayed at the Residenza Canali in late February this year and loved it. It's VERY centrally located (just around the corner from the Piazza Navona), and we would definitely stay there again.
