Ago, as to your question re Madison vs. Abbaye, a couple of things to consider: the Madison is a larger hotel right on Blvd. St-Germain. The Abbaye is a smaller, more intimate hotel on a side street near St-Sulpice. You may have preferences based on size and/or location.

I've looked at the Relais Medicis, and while it appears quite nice, I stand by my recommendation of the Abbaye. The rooms are about the same size. The location is a bit closer to the 5th arrondisement and the Sorbonne area than to St-Germain as I recall.

Another possibility is the Relais St-Sulpice, just behind the church on the rue Garancière, or Relais St-Germain on Carrefour de l'Odeon, which is quite lovely but I think out of your budget range.

Good luck. I don't think you'll make a mistake choosing any of these.

has anyone out there stayed at Hotel Le Relais Medicis? I have not been able to get much feedback on this hotel.
Thanks
