Hotels in Paris
 

Hi,, My husband and I are planning to be in paris between December 21 and December 26. I wish if someone help me in choosing a nice hotel from which we can watch the festevals .. I mean a good hotel with a nice view near the lights and the festivals ..
Its our first time to travell at that time of the year , and we didn't experience snowy weather before. So we wish to have a good vacation..

Paris is a very easy city to walk in, so having a hotel in exactly the location of "festival" isn't all that important. There are Christmas sites all over the city, so that has to be considered.

We were there last year, same time. It was cold but no snow. Dress warmly - hat, scarf, gloves and warm coat. Boots are a good idea as the cold really comes up from the sidewalks.

You have this tagged as a trip report which is a little odd, but may work okay, I clicked because I was curious what that would be, except some person who toured a lot of hotels.

I suppose you are thinking of a hotel with a view of the Champs-Elysees or something, I know they have a Christmas market there and would have light displays. or Hotel de Ville, some stuff going around there, or Notre Dame/Square Viviani. There is a market around St Sulpice, place St Germain des Pres and Trocadero, also, but I don't know if that's what you are thinking of by festivals. You can do that, if you really want, those are kind of expensive areas, though, for hotels with views like that.

You really need to state a budget, just to make sure it is realistic. Even in a hotel right on the Champs-Elysees, many rooms won't have views of it. The Marriott and Radisson BLu have some rooms with views of the street.

Be aware that snow is quite uncommon in Paris and in those few days you are unlikely to se any. If you really want to experience snow at that time you really need to head for the Alps.

And agree you need to provide a nightly budget and what you want in a hotel - cheap and cheerful, modest but comfy, moderate?????
