We will be traveling to Paris ( Marais Provence - District 3) in September...we are arriving 2 days earlier than the rest of my family. We need a hotel for these 2 nights (the other time, we will be in an apartment). Do you have any suggestions? Do you know what is in this district? THANKS, in advance for your help!

You can stay in a hotel anywhere in Paris, it doesn't have to be where the apartment is.. unless you just want a head start for seeing the immediate neighborhood...

How many are "we"- two?
What is your per-night budget for a double/twin room?

I think it makes sense to book a hotel very near the apartment you will be staying in -- it makes it real easy to transfer if it is only a block or so away and you can just walk it.

So, where exactly is this apartment? Because if it isn't right near the hotel, it may not matter that much, and if it were near a border, a hotel in another arrondisement could even be closer.

Christina, The apartment is at 2 Cite du Petit Thouars, 3rd district...

Travelnut - good point! We are looking at Hotel Prince de Galles - Paris Champs Elysees @ 33 Avenue George V, Paris 75008 France...we have some Starwood Points that we can use -- anyone stayed there before?
