Hotels in Munich and Bolzano

Traveling to Munich and Bolzano in late Aug early Sept for vacation. Appreciate recommendations for small, "boutique" hotels in interesting parts of each city in the $200-250/night range. Planning on using public transportation.

Hi hokiepete,

How many people will be in your group? Many hotels charge by the person, not by the room.

Last year I spent 5 nights in the Hotel Blauer Bock and loved it. The hotel's decor was charming, and the staff were wonderful. Best of all, the location was just across the street from Eataly and the Viktualienmarkt, and that was just about a block from Marienplatz.

Double rooms run from 70€ - 190€

Have fun as you plan!

We loved the boutique Hotel Uhland. It's in the pretty neighborhood, across from the Oktoberfest park grounds. Free bikes to borrow. Breakfast included. Newly renovated rooms.

We stayed at the Sofitel Bayerpost in Munich and loved it. It may be towards the top of your price range, but is great. Steps from the train station, and within walking distance to Marienplatz.

Take a look at the Admiral Hotel in Munich. It is well located, very clean and comfortable rooms, with an excellent breakfast that can be taken in a lovely garden.
