Hotels in London near the Eye
 

Any suggestions for hotels near the Eye in London? Most of the sites I want to visit are in that area. Would it be too far to stay near Buckingham Palace and take public transportation??

The Marriott County Hall and Premier Inn (budget option) are right next to the Eye.

London is spread out - you can't walk everywhere so whatever happens, at some point you will take public transportation, most likely the Tube. Don't worry, it's excellent. There's no problem with staying near Buckingham Palace, although I'm not great fan of the area - big busy roads and faceless corporate buildings.

The hotels above ARE RIGHT NEXT TO IT.. How safe do you need to be?????

There are virtually nil areas a tourist would ever wander into in Central London which would be regarded as unsafe, whatever the time of day. And from these hotels, you can watch the government going to work. It's kindergarten levels of safe.
