Hotels in Europe
Hi,
We are traveling to Brussels, Paris and Barcelona in April, 2004 (for 3 weeks). Would like to know of good family hotels in those cities. We are traveling with our almost 2 year old daughter. So any other advice for the trip is also appreciated. We are going to travel by train between the cities. Thanks so much for the help. Barna |
What is your hotel budget and what type of hotels do you prefer? More information from you will get you more information from others.
Pack light. Schlepping a 2-year old and luggage on and off trains is fairly exhausting. A light, collapsible stroller will probably be indispensable. |
Hi
If you click on the Destinations menu at the top of this screen, you will find lots of basic info on those cities, and you will also find info on taking children, and hotels with comments from past guests. If you narrow down your price range, that will help at StCirq said. Depending on what currency you have at home, hotels in Europe may seem more expensive than they used to even a year ago. I will say that it appears to me that strollers offer a particular challenge on cobblestoned streets and crowded narrow sidewalks. Not that it can be avoided, just a comment. |
You might find it useful to browse through the web site of www.webscapades.com (for Paris), or call their 800 number, and speak to live English speaking operators who can give some reasonable advice.
Best wishes, Rex |
Hi Everyone,
Thanks for your replies. We were looking at the price range between 60-80$ a night..depending on the place. I guess Barcelona and Paris will be more expensive than Brussels. Thanks for the tips--we are trying to keep it light packing but it is HARD!!:) Barna |
At those bottom of the (price) barrel rates/expectations, you should proceed directly to www.eurocheapo.com
|
Look at www.accor.com - particularly Ibis hotels. These are often very good for triple and family options.
