HOTELS IN DUBLIN - LAST MINUTE!!!
My husband and I are both 28 years old. We are going on our honeymoon and will be in Dublin for two nights in early June. We want to stay in a nice hotel, but do not want to spend a lot of money. On average, I would like to spend $200 US dollars a night. If you have ANY suggestions it would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!

Depends on the night of the week and where you want to stay and what you consider nice. Hilton, not a chance at that rate.
If you are there on a weekend, you may have a difficult time so get on it quickly. Less expensive hotels: Jury's (basically a Days Inn type place), I stayed at the Best Western Royal Dublin on O'Connell St which was fine, not fancy, but I got a great rate; I've stayed at the Pembroke Townhouse which is in the much quieter Ballsbridge section of town. Generally expect smaller rooms in European hotels than you will find in the States. Bill |
Do try the Pembroke Townhouse.. It is in a very quiet area..About 1K (??) from Grafton Street and St. Stephen's green and a great waLK. tHE BREAKFAST IS GOOD, THE HOP ON HOP OFF ABOUT 4/5 BLOCKS AWAY AND THE STAFF MOST HELPFUL.Looks like I hit the caps button!!! Anyhow they have a web site and if you tell them about your honeymoon you may get special treatment. We have stayed there 2 times and sent out daughter and son-in-law there for 2 nights on their 25th. They were up graded and I think they got a bottle of wine..In all a very nice place. Can't remember the $. Another treat is high tea @ the 5 star Merrion Hotel. 1 order is enough for 2 and delightful. Happy honeymoon...Amer_can

The Pembroke is about a 15 minute walk to Grafton St.
