Hotels in Downtown Barcelona
 

I am looking at several hotels in Barcelona ranging price from $140 to $200 or so. Has anyone stayed in a hotel they can recommend?

Dear Shebe, <BR>Which hotels are you considering? Do you have a preference as to location? 3 or 4 star?

We just stayed at a nice hotel in the Barri Gotic area near the Cathedral (and about 2 blocks from the Rambla) called the Rialto. Very clean, nice room, good location, breakfast included.

Shebe:We stayed at the Royal Hotel.It was on the Ramblas,room included a very good breakfast.I would definetly return. Enjoy.

We stayed at the Hotel Colon in the Gothic Quarter across from the Cathedral. It was a lovely, lovely hote. We didn't have a cathedral view room, but one on the fifth floor away from the cathedral. All fifth floor rooms have wonderful balconies. The room was small, but the most comfortable that I have ever stayed in. I highly recommend it.
