Hotels in Copenhagen

I am visiting Copenhagen for a few days, and was wondering if anyone has tried the following website to book hotels:
http://www.copenhagenet.dk/Hotel/Hotel.htm

I'm not sure if it's safe or not, but the prices are lower for some hotels vs. going directly to the hotel's website.

I am trying to decide whether to stay in the town center, or saving some money by staying a bit further out (like the Cabinn Metro near Bella Centret), since I would need to pay to travel to/from the city center each day anyway.

Does anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.

Stay in the center. I used to live there. I've heard that www.ibsenshotel.dk is very good. It's in a nice location. Happy Travels!

I would suggest that you stay far from the city, not too far though..It will give you a chance to take a look at both sides of the place..

If you can save money, it's a good idea to stay a little outside the city centre such as the Cabinn Metro, which is right by Ørestad station. Alternatively, try the Wakeup Hotel.

I'd give Priceline a try. You might be able to get the Marriott in the hundred dollar range. It is a MUCH better hotel than the CabInn Metro. Not the absolute best location, but better than staying out by Ørestad.

The website you link to seems like it was coded by a 4-year old. Not saying it is unsafe, but it doesn't inspire confidence. I'd be inclined to book elsewhere.

I often use octopustravel.com when I'm not sure about hotels in a city I've not visited before. That at least gives you a few ideas, then I search each hotel website. I had an overnight in CPH a couple of years ago and stayed at the Best Western, just a couple of blocks from the main train station. Pleasant, clean and great breakfast.

Was in Copenhagen last month, we stayed at the Clarion Collection Hotel Mayfair for 3 nights, its is not the cheapest but when you include breakfast ( also managed to do on packed lunch) free afternoon tea and cakes, free dinner snack ( which we turned into a full meal) we saved $$$ on not buying any meals. More than made up for room cost and it is also a very noice hotel and centrally located

If the above poster suggests to use the breakfast buffet for packing lunch, this is to be considered rather poor etiquette and proof of some unfortunate judgement.

I read somewhere that some Norwegian hotels do not allow German tourists because they totally rip off the breakfast buffets. Probably just a vicious rumour
