Hotels in Cairo/Giza area
 

We are going to Egypt in October so I have been looking for hotel rooms using many of the discounter sites and consolidators. Looking in the 75-100 dollar price range, many of the consolidators list rooms with very poor ratings, anyone have a good little hotel finds in this price range.

They have some very good deals, e.g. the Intercontinental for 92 dollars.

For Egypt, I strongly suggest at least 4 stars. And location matters a lot, since traffic is extremely slow in Cairo (driving time from Heliopolis to Giza is two hours).

Expedia also has good deals for Cairo hotels.

It lists the President for $52. I stayed there many years ago and thought that it was fine for a budget hotel. It was clean and the staff were really helpful. The location, on Gezira Island, was a welcome respite from the dense Cairo traffic.
