hotels in brugge
 

I would like some advice on hotels and b@b
in Brugge for Sept.
The following are some that I am thinking
about.
Hotel Ensor, Hotel Loreto, HOtel Vaneyke
Hotel Fevery, Desterre B&B, Contrast B&B
Bed and Bruges,B&B.
If anyone has stayed at any of them and
can give me some advice, I would appreciate
it. In the bnb's it is hard to tell the
arrangement of the rooms--if they are by
themselves or just one big happy family.
I am blurry-eyed looking at the websites.
Any advice, suggestions or rviews on any
of them or any other ones??

Can't help with the ones you listed but here's where we stayed here last spring. Just outside the city, but walking distance to the train station. The owners spoke excellent english and were a wealth of information on the area.

Several years ago we stayed at Number 11 B&B. It is listed as #1 on http://www.tripadvisor.com so you can read all the reviews. We talked about our great
stay there for a long time. Annie and
Pavel make you feel so welcome and
are helpful with information about
Brugge.

My husband and I stayed at St.Niklaas Bed & Breakfast in Brugge and loved it. The breakfast presentation was beautiful and the owner gave us great suggestions on where to eat and what to do. You might check out Tripadvisor. I posted a review and there are other reviews just as favorable.

they just have all the reviews on it,

Hands down THE best breakfast, most comfortable bed adn MOST accomodating hosts were at Contrast B&B, when we stayed there first week of April this year. The very contemporary rooms are across the 12th century courtyard from the 15th century house. Kathy and Dieter were absolutely delightful and engaging - willing to converse with us and/or other guests who initiated conversation, but highly respectful. They go ALL out with the lavish breakfast each day as well.

That and Hotel Nova, in Brussels, were the two best accomodations and can't beat it deals during our 10 day travels. Good luck!

Just a vote for Hotel Academie near the Lake of Love. Special on their website for 3 nights including Breakfast (with hot foods too) for 240 euros. 7 minute walk from train station and downtown squares. There were some cobblestones to pull suitcases over but manged to find smooth sidewalks too. We loved Brugge. Make sure you dress extra warm if coming in the winter. Bought silk long underwear from others suggestions and very glad I did. It was 40 F but the cold is a bone chilling damp cold...so gloves, scarf,ear muffs, hat etc...

I stayed at the Hotel 't Zand after it was redone. Great hotel, great breakfast, great location. The price is probably in line with the others mentioned.

We stayed at the Novotel in Brugge last sept. Very nice hotel. Very helpful and friendly staff. It's a short walk to bus station where we got a bus to the center. I cannot recommend the staff there highly enough. They went very far out of there way to assist us.

We also stayed in one of the Novotels in Brugge (Centrum) and its location was fantastic. Only a few minutes walk to Market, Minnewater etc and the major historical sites.

I echo everything aieger says about staff etc although I have a feeling you stayed at Novotel Brugge Zuid which is about 15 minutes by coach from town.

Novotel Centrum's rates in September are averaging at 95 euro per night. If you lodge there weekends in the same month the cost is 99 euro and that includes breakfast.

I loved the Hotel De Barge.....which is a converted boat. It's on one of the outer canals, but still only about 5-10 mins walk from the city centre.
