Hotels in Bilboa and SanSebastian

Anny suggestions on hotels in both Bilboa and San Sebastian. What about the Silken Indautxu or Best Western in Bilboa. Both are close to the Guggenheim. I am not sure how far that is from the Old Town>

First of all, the city is known as Bilbao or Bilbo (Basque), not Bilboa. A simple search on the internet will set you straight.

If you want to see how close the hotels are to the old quarter, check the Google maps.

Bilbao is a very small city, so don´t worry about distances. So any hotel will do. Public transport is outstanding, but you can go walking anywhere. If you need more info on the area, I do recommend to download maribelsguides.com, or to take a look at my blog as a local, blogseitb.us/basquetourism.

If you have a car, and I think you will ahve one judging from your previous psotings you will also require parking too. That will come at a price.
You do not say what your budget you have so look up hotels on www.booking.com There are reviews of all establishments.

I posted this on one of your other threads:

In San Sebastián we've been very happy staying in quiet and charming Hotel Chomín, 50 metres from the Ondarreta beach and a 20 mins walk along the beautiful La Concha beach promenade to the city center and the bustling Parte vieja/Old town.

Hostal Alemana is a great value option close to the center, the old town and the La Concha beach: http://www.hostalalemana.com/ingles/index.html

Hotel Maria Cristina and Hotel Londres are old world luxcury:

If you are looking for something quite special, Villa Soro might be an idea: http://www.booking.com/hotel/es/san-...lasoro.en.html
