Hotels in Bath - one night only?
I'm doing a two-week trip to London/Paris with my mom and niece, and now that I've finished torturing everyone with my hand-wringing over Paris accommodations, I thought I'd ask about the first leg of the trip -- England.
We will be in London May 16-23, and are booked into London House for 6 of the 7 days -- they are fully booked for the Saturday night, but I figured we'll just do an overnight somewhere else. My niece wants to do Bath. However, it looks like most Bath hotels are B&Bs requiring a two-night stay. I'd rather stay only one night and return to London sometime the following day. Anyone know of any good centrally located options (we'll not have a car)? One more wrinkle: I need a triple, which I suppose will be no less of a drama.... Argh! As for budget...I don't know...under $150 would be great, though that may be unrealistic since we need a triple and it's a Saturday night stay. Thanks in advance! :-) |
If you go through reservation sites like Booking.com, Lastminute.com or Expedia.do.uk, you can often book a one-night stay on a Saturday.

Why not spend 2 nights in Bath? I think you'd be glad you did. Plenty to see in the town and a side trip to Bradford-on-Avon if there's time and inclination.

Thinking about 2 nights again, if you left for Bath late afternoon and returned early after your second night you'd have a full day in Bath and still have much of the day before and day after in London. I wouldn't consider less than 1 entire day in Bath.

A great place is http://www.threeabbeygreen.com/ but on Saturday they don't take only a night, I would recommend more tan one night in Bath, it's so lovely. I do $150 is going to be hard to find, especially a triple.
Good luck & enjoy Bath |
