Hotels in 4th arrondisement Paris

Have enjoyed staying in the 6th on previous visits but does anyone know of any three star in the 4th that they would recommend? Can anyone advise whether it is an interesting area to stay? Thanks in advance.

I'm sure it's a very interesting area to stay in; I've walked it a bit but no hotels... not much to do this evening so I searched out a few threads for your amusement while you wait for new information...

St-Louis-en-L'ile is in the 4e. One of the oldest areas of Paris. Very nice area itself + convenient location to walk to many places of interest. All the 4 hotels on the island seem nice (one 4star & three 3-stars) including Hotel Lutèce and Hotel St.Louis where I have stayed.

I have been to Paris 5 times. Four of my visits I stayed in the Marais. I love the 4th. I have stayed at the Hotel de la Bretonnerie and highly recommend it. I also stayed at Hotel Beaubourg and although the staff was friendly, the room we had was mediocre at best. Two other times we rented apartments through rentparis.com. I prefer the apartment for my stays. Having a kitchen and the feeling of actually living in a neighborhood made for a great trip.

last april we stayed at the hotel caron de beaumarachais in the 4th. the hotel was lovely, very convenient to the entire marais area, as well as near the rue du rivoli and its bus and metro lines. we walked and took the bus everywhere.

though we didn't try it, they offer wi-fi service in the rooms.

website is http://www.carondebeaumarchais.com/

we paid 153 euros/night for a top floor room (w/ balcony) on the front. i'd heard the rear-facing rooms on the courtyard were dark.

There is a good 3 star hotel in the 4th, maybe you can try to see if t is good for you on its website: www.hotel-saintmerry.com...It looks really well located...The Marais Quarter is really a good choice, I'm sure you will appreciate this quarter..One of the funniest of Paris!!!

Ahhhhh, the Marais. Very wise choice!

Here's a hotel list:

NB that the Rivoli Notre Dame is now the Bourg Tibourg -- and the Compostelle is actually a 1-star.
