Hotels - Holy Week in Sevilla 2012

My husband has built a golf trip to Spain in April, 2012, and we plan to sightsee for a week before and after the golf. I've gotten several of the couples interested in trying to be in Sevilla for Good Friday through Easter. I'm looking for advice on comfortable hotels within good walking distance of the processions, which I understand can occur very late at night, and whether the hotels allow bookings over a year away? Thanks for your help - this should be a great trip!

It's a little early for most hotels, but if you give us some idea of your budget, someone may be able to help. Expect to spend $300 to $500/night for something decent, with a 5 to 7 night minimum stay required at the better hotels.

Robert - so sorry I didn't see your response when I checked back and topped (I swear it wasn't there! although I was starting into a mini-pneumonia and not feeling up to par - hallucinated?? ha! All better now - and your info is perfect. We'll be traveling with other friends and I had heard it would be higher priced, and I understand perfectly why that is. I'll check with my friends - probably out of budget for us. And doesn't seem worth while to stay not near the processions, and then drive "home" middle of the night.
Thanks!

As an alternative to Seville you might consider Malaga or Cordoba. They're easy to reach by high speed train from Madrid and the hotel prices may be more reasonable.
