Hotels close to Brussels Central Train Station
I noticed that the Marriot was mentioned as a hotel close to Brussels Central. Does anyone have ideas as to other hotels , in a bit lower price range, yet still decent and clean? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm an IBIS fan - high-quality for the price and clean and modern and often smack right next to train stations - in Amsterdam and Nice IBIS hotels are right on station platforms. www.ibishotels.com or www.accorhotels.com - part of ACCOR hotel chain, one of world's largest - look for possible weekend specials in these hotels that normally cater to a business-class clientele during the week.

ibis Brussels Centre Gare Midi. Print; Add to your favorites ...
http://www.ibishotel.com/.../hotel......./index.shtml - United Kingdom
Now do you and Man in Seat 61 mean Brussels Centraal train station or Brussels central train station
The former is a train station right in the heart of Brussels, a short enough walk from the Grand' Place but it is not in any regard Brussels' central train station - that would be Brussels-Midi (a k a Zuid or South station) and is in an IMO dreary dreary part of Brussels.
so it depends on which train station you are talking about. Brussels Centraal may not it seems have an IBIS by it but Midi, Brussels busiest and main station where Eurostars from London and Thalys from Paris and Cologne stop, does.
Just to clarify that.

There are several options, close by ! But let me recommend you some small unique Brussels hotel close by :
Hotel Le Dixseptieme (4*), a boutique cosy family hotel packed with antique furniture.
Hotel Aris Grand Place (3*), small, practical hotel across the street from the famous Grand Place.
Hotel Le Sablon (4*), a 33 bedroom hotel, in a very quiet street, easy accesable, near the antique market (on Sunday) at Le Sablon
...
and many more to discover on VisitBrussels.be
Of course, the Brussels Booking Desk, part of VisitBrussels could recommend you even more hotels ([email protected]).
