Hotels-B & Bs

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably priced hotel or B & B near Dublin airport. Have noticed that the going rate for medium priced B & Bs is 17 to 25 punts per person. Is that what we must expect to pay across Ireland?? Has anyone found anything cheaper which is suitable for those who only want a place to sleep and move on?

I stayed at the Holly Tree House - a new B&B in Swords, right outside the Dublin Airport. 22.50 per night.

In the town & country B&B guidebook, most were about 20 per night. SOme were as low as 17 without bathroom

Steve. Thanks. Were all of those rates per person?

Ron,
Check out the universities for accommodation - although if you are travelling outside the summer holidays ie past Sept. then you will have to rely on B&Bs - the nearest university to the airport is Dublin City University - think there web site is www.dcu.ie. Otherwise check out the Irish Tourist Board Web site at www.ireland.travel.ie

Have a good time,

Cathy

Yes, that is per person, two people sharing a room. Single rooms are aabout 5 punts more.

17 to 25 punts (per person) is pretty standards across Ireland. You'll run into a few that might be a little cheaper, but not that many. If you're really looking to save money, stay in hostels. There are a ton throughout Ireland.
