Linda---<BR>You didn't state a desired price range, so the selection is boundless. If you want a decent hotel on the water for minimal bucks, try La Calcina. If you want something more historic, on the Grand Canal, luxurious, and with more of everything, try the Metropole. If you don't want to be on the water, there's a neat little hotel right behind the Savoia & Jolanda (which is also on the water and pretty reasonable) by the name of Hotel Campiello. All of these barely scratch the surface, and I'm sure you get lots of recommendations. My favorite, right on the main canal, although a bit expensive, is the Metropole. If you are a history buff, you might be interested in the fact that Vivaldi spent a few years in the building that is now the Metropole. And for a lower cost, my favorite is Hotel Flora (but ask to see the room before you take it). Hope this helps.
