Hotelink Transfer in London
Does anyone know this service ? Is that good ?
|
We (2)have used it a few times both from and to Heathrow. It has always been on time but it can be crowded.
|
What do you mean by crowded ? Should I book in advance ?
And how lonk did it take you from Hearthrow to City London ? Thanks |
You should book in advance. I've used the Hotelink in the past but have recently opted for the Heathrow Express and a taxi.
Hotelink is fine if you happen to be one of the first to be dropped off. Otherwise you'll spend a lot of time traversing the streets of London while others are being dropped off. Unless you find yourself arriving during the rush hour, it takes about 40 minutes to get to Holland Park/Notting Hill. |
We always booked ahead thru BA because it was cheaper. I should have said tight. The minibus seating is one seat, aisle, two seats.
Historytraveler has the timing just abour right. We enjoy the surface trip into London to see what has changed since our last visit. We also used and enjoyed the now discontinued AirBus. |
I have used it several times coming and going.
Yes, you will have to spend the time on the shuttle if you are the first to be picked up or the last to be dropped off. They were always on time, and the price cannot be beat for one person. Prepare to be picked up about three hours before your flight. I always booked ahead and never had any problem. Would use them again. |
My mom & I used Hotelink in 2003 to get from our hotel at Picadilly Circus to Heathrow, it was £15 each. It's just like the SuperShuttle in the U.S. - a shared ride van, so the amount of time you spend on it depends on the locations of the other passengers. We happened to be the first ones picked up & the last dropped off, but it was not unpleasant and we did get to see a few neighborhoods of London we wouldn't have otherwise. The driver was curteous, helpful and had no complaints about our heavy suitcases; and was genuinely interested in our feelings towards the Regent Palace Hotel where we had stayed.

Thanks for all this useful information.
Since IŽll stay at Regent Palace Hotel at Picaddilly Circus, exactly where Daisy54 did, probably IŽll be the last one to be dropped off. Anyway, since the tube is not operating in Terminal 4 ( my arrival ) and in Picaddilly Circus ( due to the bombs ) , I think to take this transfer will be the best option. Thanks a lot guys !! |
We used the Hotelink Transfer to and from Heathrow booked through BA. We didn't mind the ride at all as we did get to see the different areas of London before we arrived at our hotel.
I would use it again without a second thought. They were ready for us when we arrived and arrived early enough at out hotel to get us to our flight on time. |
