There is no free shuttle, but the Hilton - Rome Airport is connected to the airport terminal by a moving walkway.

You need to be careful when you book a hotel in Italy that offers a free shuttle service to the airport that
a) the shuttle service is in operation when you need it (they often only run from 9am to 7pm
b) the shuttle service doesn't make a zillion stops, making your trip to the airport longer than if you'd stayed in town.
Generally, if you do a google search like "rome airport hotel shuttle tripadvisor" -- you can track down user reviews of Rome hotel airports that tell you how reliable the shuttle service is.

If you have only 10 hours-then just book the Holiday Inn by the airport. They have a shuttle on a regular basis but they may charge, possibly 5 euros a person? It also runs into the city on a regular basis too.
Taxi or shuttle from Rome back to FCO will run you around 35 to 40 euros for 2/3persons so use that to decide if it would be cheaper to actually stay in Rome.
