Hotel Verneuil rm 502 in Paris-is this a great deal?
Hi, all,
I just got confirmation that I can get rm. 502 for the promotional rate on their website of 156 Euro (I'd previously received an email quoting 196, but this Fodorite was not fooled! So, I requested the special and got it--just a tip!)
Question: will it be too hot in July? I recall another poster saying the top floor AC didn't work when they were there...
Please help-I need to confirm! Thanks!

In speaking with the night manager he claims that rooms 402 and 502 are the staff's favorite rooms. I stayed in 302 which wasn't exceptional. It was a bit smaller than room 402 and the decor was pretty standard for the hotel, nothing unique. I understand that there are two large windows in 502, but as you say their a/c doesn't work all the time? I've only visited during winter. That's bad if the a/c is busted when you need it most. For 156 euro, however, I would take it. You got a good rate.

Thanks, francophile,
I think I might ask for rm 402, since several posters seem to have had this AC issue. Room 502 sounds super, but those two large windows might just let in the heat...not that we'll be there during the daytime, anyway.
I think it's a great deal, too!

Hi cybertraveler, you're welcome! I know what you're referring to about the windows plus it's on the top floor and heat rises. I think in winter it's a alot better. Because of the windows more light enters the room and that's a good thing to have during winter when it's usually gloomy outside.
You will like 402. It's so weird that my standard double next door, #401, had a bathroom almost the same size as the room itself and it had a bidet too. But there was no bidet in 402; in fact, the bathroom seemed narrower than in 401. You should get two bathrobes though. If they forget just let them know.
