Hotel Umbra in Assisi?

Has anyone stayed at Hotel Umbar in Assisi? Looking for feedback. Thanks.

Again, that is Umbra not Unbar -- sorry for the mistake. I did see the review on Karen Brown's site. Thanks again.

We stayed there two nights last month. Great location, very nice, pleasant place. Good breakfast. Ask for a room with a view.

<BR>We stayed at the Hotel Umbra about 4 years ago and loved it. It is right off the main square centrally located but quiet--there was an annual festival going on at the time so the location was perfect--We had room 34--I remember it well because it had a beautiful view of the valley of Spoleto and a small balcony to sit and toast this remarkable place. It is not posh, however--mismatched furniture, etc. but just fine. The staff was very nice--the festival they were having is a compition between the uppper town and lower town (this has been going on for centuries)--my husband and I were enthusiastic supporters of the upper town as the owner of the hotel was from the upper town--he presented me with a upper town scarf as we were leaving--I wear it a lot. One of those happy traveling memories. They also have a very good restaurant. I hope to return to the Hotel Umbra someday.

We ate there and had a wonderful meal. Stayed at the Subasio which is a bit of a funky place but with gorgeous terrace and great location. If Karen Brown recommends staying at the Umbra, I would have complete faith.
