We{ll be staying here overnight and would like to know if there is any shopping center in walking distance just to kill a few hours. We have already been to Madrid and are flying in from Mexico City and picking up a car to travel around the country. We would appreciate any feedback. Thanks

I suppose you mean Hotel Tryp Diana near Madrid Airport at Ifema.
If this is the one there is a Big shopping center at Gran Via de Hortaleza, a few minutes by taxi.

You can't walk to one, but you can take a very short taxi ride to a shopping center called the Centro Comerical Campo de las Naciones on Avenida de los Andes 50. There you'll find a small tienda branch of Spain's dept. store, El Corte Ingles and the Hipercor hypermarket.
