Hotel Trois Couronnes in Vevey
 

We have decided to splurge and stay at the Trois Couronnes for four nights this June.

I am wondering if anyone can help me decide whether to spend the extra 150 Swiss Francs to get a lake view room. Are the views worth the big bucks?

Sorry, have no idea if the extra money would be worth it to you or not have a lake view. For me it wouldn't be (but then that hotel is way out of my price range to begin with!) Easy enough to take a stroll on the quai for that gorgeous lake/mountains view.

How much time do you spend in your hotel room looking out the window? Don't you go out and about from morning til late, taking in all that the region has to offer? You'll see plenty of views from wherever you go.

I've only been in the public rooms of your hotel which all take advantage of the lake views, plus there's a large terrace overlooking the lake.

I wouldn't spend the extra money for a lake view, but as Suze said, I wouldn't be able to stay there to begin with!

any other Vevey-lovers or locals around to chime in?

I am the OP and I want to thank everyone for their opinions. Guess we will forego the lake view and use the extra $$ for meals and a spa treatment.

Does anyone have any suggestions for restuarants in Vevey?
