hotel Tiziano?

Has anybody had an experience with Hotel Tiziano on Corso Vittorio Emanuele?
My search for reviews has been unsuccessful...

Dave,

Funny you should ask! I was looking for the same thing myself and haven't found anything other than the web site.

My boyfriend and I are also considering the Santa Chiara--I know from this forum that this one already gets great reviews.

But from the website photos--which we all know can be misleading!!--the Tiziano does look more elegant and for the same price.

Let's hope someone comes through for us....

Jeanine

Can't give personal recommendation, haven't been yet.
But we booked our apt in Rome through a travel agent who specializes in Italy, and when I asked for hotels (to stay in the day of arrival, and day before departure,) one of the hotels she mentioned was the Tiziano. This is the hotel she stays in when going to Rome.
this hotel is also mentioned in the Gambero rosso, rome book, which is published in Italy.
They say that the hotel is quite comfortable, with double glazed windows (as the hotel is on a very busy road)
The restaurant is "very pleasant", asnd the staff is " extremely courteous"

Your welcome Jeanine.
? for you.
I have friends named Maresca.
the "kids" are in their 50's, and are named Joseph, Michael, and Carmelita.
They grew up in N.J. and their parents came over from Italy.
Boy, was Mrs. Maresca a GOOD cook!!
and Mr. Martesca grew the biggest tomatos I have ever seen.
Hi Dave,
My wife and I stayed there a couple years ago. The rooms were good size, but a little noisy, being right on a major street. Had a small problem with no hot water which took a couple hours to resolve, but otherwise it was O.K.
Not a lot of charm, but a good location.
Tommaso
