Hotel suggestions in Glasgow?

In preparation for a trip to Scotland in May, I am investigating places to stay in Glasgow. Any suggestions..3 star range, comfortable, centrally-located (no car)?

I,m going to Glasgow for the first time myself in June, I have no experience, but I'll be staying at the marriott in glasgow which is on Argyle street, near Queen Station, and a little longer walk to

I would suggest staying in the
Copthorne on George square next to the
railway station or the Thistle hotel in
Cambridge st. Both excellent locations
I am from the south side of Glasgow
julie

I recommend Lochgilvie house. Not centrally located but one block from train station which takes 8 mins or so to get into city centre. Much quieter. B and B some rooms ensuite. Comfortable, clean, good value and very helpful owner.

Julie, or anyone else. You mentioned the Copthorne is near the train station. Do you know if its the central or Queen street station? I will be arriving at the cental and leaving from Queen street and would like a hotel near the one I will be departing from.
